പുതു’വര്‍ഷം’
ഫുജൈറയില്‍ 2005നെ മഴ ഒഴുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
മണിയ്ക്കൂറുകള്‍ തോരാതെ നിന്ന മഴ മനസ്സിന്‌ കുളിര്‍മ്മയേകി.
വെള്ളം വാര്‍ന്നിറങ്ങാത്ത മണ്ണില്‍ മഴ തോര്‍ന്നിട്ടും മണിയ്ക്കൂറുകള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞും ജലാശയങ്ങള്‍ ദൃശ്യമായിരുന്നു.കുട്ടികള്‍ ആര്‍ത്തുരസിച്ചു, ആനന്ദിച്ചു, അതിശയിച്ചു.
തൊപ്പിയും കുടയും ചൂടി കടലാസ്സുവള്ളവുമായി മുറ്റത്തേയ്കിറങ്ങിയ കുട്ടികളെ വീട്ടിനുള്ളില്‍ കയറ്റാന്‍ വളരെ പ്രയാസമായി.
പാത്രത്തില്‍ വെള്ളം നിറച്ച്‌ ചെറുവള്ളങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ട്‌ സന്തോഷിച്ചിരുന്ന അവരുടെ മനസ്സിന്‌ എല്ലാവിധത്തിലും കുളിര്‍മയേകി പ്രകൃതി നല്ലൊരു പുതുവല്‍സരസമ്മാനം തന്നെ നല്‍കി.
